Start Early with a Puppy Training Program for Your New Dog

I always say the best way to prevent canine behavior problems is to participate in a puppy training program. It’s easy enough to go to the local pet super mart and sign up for group training classes, but I am a firm believer that one-on-one, in-home training is more beneficial. I’ve seen it proven time and again.

Most group training classes focus on basic obedience, which is great, but it takes your new puppy out of his everyday environment and fails to take his uniqueness into consideration. Group training cannot provide proper housebreaking skills or ensure proper bonding between you and your new addition.

Through B-more Dog Training’s in-home puppy training program, offered only to puppies aged sixteen weeks and younger, I provide basic obedience training, proper bonding techniques, housebreaking, crate training, and training for any other unique issue your puppy may be facing. With this one-on-one attention, your questions get answered immediately and the program can be tailored to your needs and schedule. You also stay involved throughout the process, ensuring your puppy learns to listen to you as well as me.

Ziggy is my most recent puppy program graduate. His owner and I worked together to house train Ziggy, which involved a strict schedule and the elimination of unsupervised roaming. His playful chewing and nipping, which is common puppy behavior, had to be addressed simply so he wouldn’t continue doing it into adulthood. We worked to establish the owner as the leader of the pack, ensuring he and his puppy shared a bond of trust and respect. I initiated basic obedience lessons and suggested Ziggy participate in more advanced lessons when he got a bit older. Crate training and socialization were also benefits of Ziggy’s program.
