Foundations of Dog Training and Obedience

I offer professional dog training in Baltimore and the surrounding areas. My training is reward-based and customized to your dog’s individual temperament and personality. In all cases, I commit to working with you until we achieve all of our training goals.

I like to call my program, “Training for the Real World” which is exactly what it sounds like it is. My program goes far beyond just teaching the basic dog training obedience commands. Once we identify your dog’s issues, and your concerns with his/her behavior, we’ll establish an excellent foundation of control, trust and respect, then we’ll take those new skills and apply them in the most distracting environments possible. This is the best way to make sure your dog is reliable in ALL situations!

I offer dog training in Baltimore, and the surrounding area, for dogs and puppies of all ages, breeds and temperaments, and I specialize in working with “challenging” dogs, who have often been deemed “untrainable” or beyond hope, by other dog trainers.

My training process always begins with a comprehensive behavior consultation where I’ll come out to meet your dog and get a sense of his/her general temperament and personality. There are a lot of approaches to take in dog training, and I want to make sure that we proceed in a way that is best for you and your pet.

Once I have met your dog, I’ll talk at length with you and your family about any concerns you have about your dog’s behavior, as well as your lifestyle (so I can customize the training plan to conform to it) and your long-term goals.

After this, I’ll work out a detailed training program that takes all these factors into account, and will be able to explain to you exactly how we will achieve your goals. As I mentioned before, if we decide to work together, I will commit to working with you until we achieve all of those goals.
